This Rock Weekday Childcare
At This Rock Weekday Childcare we have spent over 40 years focused on helping parents prepare their child for the future. Our child care is structured to promote play, develop social skills, and introduce faith-based learning using fun and developmentally appropriate methods. We offer a low student teacher ratio, high staff retention and our weekday child care meets all Texas Health and Human Services Licensing standards. We offer care for students 18 months to 12 years.
Our Curriculum
This Rock Weekday Childcare utilizes the Abeka Curriculum, a biblically based curriculum that incorporates learning and developing faith. Curriculum focuses on developing social and academic skills. Children spend class time in structured and unstructured learning activities, developing social skills, crafts, and rigorous indoor and outdoor playtime.
Age Groups
We treat every age group as a stepping stone into their future—prioritizing a strong spiritual foundation that sets them up as leaders for life.
18 Months - 2 Year Olds
We offer care for 18-24 months and 24-35 months. We lovingly teach our youngest students through music, games, crafts, physical activities, stories, as well as introduce learning of colors, shapes, and social skills.
Preschool - 3 & 4 Year Olds
Our preschool age students have structured class time each day to focus on learning numbers, letters, phonics, pre-reading and math. Our students enjoy learning through circle time, physical activities, stories, music, crafts and social interactions with friends.
Before and After School Care: Kindergarten-5th Grade
We provide before and after school care for 7 BISD schools. Students engage in games and activities in our gym, as well as homework time, centers, and snacks. We also offer full day care for students on BISD holidays.
Summer Camp
Our Summer Camp offers full and part time care for students ages Kindergarten-5th grade. Students participate in weekly field trips, weekly themes, Chapel, and age appropriate games and activities. Weekly tuition includes all activities as well as a lunch and 2 snacks.
Amazing staff with so much heart and love for our children. Its been wonderful seeing our son grow over the last couple of years of being here.
