We want you and your family to be able to connect easily at This Rock Baptist Church. Whether you are just curious about God or have followed Jesus for years, we have created an avenue for you to discover what our church is all about through our next step class, Starting Point.
Believe in Jesus
Salvation, fundamentals of faith, and basic spiritual disciplines such as Scripture, prayer, and gathering for church services.
Become More Like Him
Sunday Worship Service, Sunday School, small groups, Bible studies, and practical family devotion.
Bring Others to Him
Living missionally to advance the Gospel through service, giving, and evangelism in our church, in our community, and through missions... to the ends of the earth.
Starting Point is a three-week series designed to help you believe in Jesus personally, become more like Him, and bring others to Him.

Class 1: Believing in Jesus
This class provides newcomers and prospective members with a sense of what we’re all about at This Rock. It covers our mission, vision, and core values, as well as fundamentals of the faith and the basic spiritual disciplines needed to know and walk with Jesus. It takes place the first Sunday of every odd month.
Class 2: Becoming More Like Him
This class covers the foundation for discipleship in community. It establishes the biblical call to gather together in church services and include other believers in our walk with God. It also provides opportunities to get plugged in to Sunday School, small groups, and other programs at This Rock where you can experience growth through authentic, godly relationships. It takes place the second Sunday of every odd month.
Class 3: Bringing Others to Him
This class teaches how you can reflect Jesus in impacting others through service and evangelism. It includes biblical principles of using your time, talent, and treasures to intentionally impact your family, your church, and those around you. It provides on-ramps to begin engaging in volunteer service and highlights ways to share your faith along with local and international missions opportunities. It takes place the third Sunday of every odd month. An opportunity for membership is provided at the end of the class.
Upcoming Classes
Starting Point sessions begin the first week of every other month for three weeks straight, immediately following the 10:30am Worship Service. Each session lasts approximately 60 minutes—coffee and snacks are provided.
